Busy, busy, busy

It’s only the third week of January and already my calendar is full of things to do. School activities, community activities and so many places to shop and eat around town leave a girl with a mighty busy social schedule. It also leaves me hoping to see you there as well!

Here’s a list of what Frederick has going so far….

The Frederick Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet and Installation will be in the Great Plains Technology Center starting at 7 pm on Thursday, January 26. Tickets are $20 and include a delicious meal, speaker and lots of inspiration. Come by the Chamber office or online (www.frederickokchamber.org) to buy your tickets. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend however we’ll give you the chance to join if you’d like. Individual memberships are only $40, farm/ranch memberships are $80 and senior citizen memberships are $35; applications will be available at the banquet.

The Jr. Livestock Show Trophy Auction will be Monday, January 30 in the Great Plains Technology Center starting at 6:30.

The local Livestock Show will be held Friday, February 3 here in Frederick in the County Show Barn. Stay tuned for show details.

The Frederick Arts Council will hold an indoor garage sale February 4 in the Lois Long Center from 8 am to 2 pm. New items, bargain boxes, Christmas items, light fixtures and much more will be for sale. All proceeds will go toward the repair and upkeep of the Ramona Theatre.

The Hackberry Flat Center will host a Birds of Prey program February 18 from 9 am to noon at the Center. The event is free and no reservation is necessary. If you’d like more information head to www.wildlifedepartment.com and enter “Hackberry Flat” into the search box.

Head to www.frederickbombers.net for a school calendar which includes all activities.

Whether or not you are directly involved in any of these activities doesn’t matter… attend and support those who work hard to put it all together.

Don’t Forget: Be Kind. Be Heard. Be Local.
